We have listed some of the functions that NJFishChat.com has to offer to you our members.
We have given a brief description of most frequently used functions in the order we feel
is best suited to answer your questions in a timely fashion.
Chat Board Registration - Before you can join in on
the fun and post on our community chat board, you must register as a member.
There is no cost associated with your full access to this FREE resource. Upon
clicking on the Register link, review our
registration Terms And Conditions
then click the appropriate age verification link.
You will be prompted to enter a user name
and password that you wish to be identified by on the board along with
your valid email address. Depending on the
configuration of our system, we may require that you receive an
activation email prior to being able to post on the site. If you do not receive this email it is most likely due to the stringent
guidelines of spam filters put into place by many internet host service providers.
If you have the ability to look at your spam email, check there first. If
this is not the case, please forward an email to
admin@njfishchat.com and
specify the user name that you had registered and the password you wish

Photo
Gallery- In order to use this feature you must use the register
link and enter your NJFishChat.com Name and Password along with your
valid email address. Once registered you will receive an email which
includes a link that you MUST CLICK ON to activate your account. Once this process is completed you will never
have to do it again.
In order to upload your picture to NJFishChat.Com's photo gallery you must log into the
photo Gallery, using the Login link, and from here it is rather simple. Just click on the Upload Photo link. It will then
bring you to a screen that has browse buttons. Click on the button and it will redirect
you to your area that the pics are stored in on your computer. Click on the image you wish
to upload and then click on submit/upload at the bottom of the screen. You will then see a
page where you can select the fish category of of your photo and add a description of the photo (this is optional) once you finish this
just click on submit photo and you are on your way. After the photo
has been transferred to NJFishChat.com, you will be asked to
process the files. At this point you can make any final
adjustments to the category and photo description.
In order to post a photo in
a thread of our Community Chat Board, click on the thumbnail (Small
Version of Your Photo) to enlarge it to it's full size in the gallery.
Within this full size image view, scroll to the bottom of the
screen below the picture where it states UBB CODE. Using your
mouse, highlight and copy this text by right clicking or by pressing Ctrl-C on your
keyboard.
Here is an example:

Once this is done, you can now return to
the Community Chat board simply right click within the text body of
your post and click paste. You are now an expert at inserting pictures from
our photo gallery within in your fishing posts. If you
have any questions in regards to this PLEASE direct them to an Admin or Moderator on the
board.
You DO NOT need to resize the
photo just upload the picture as it comes off of your camera to your
P.C. You may also paste this UBB Code on any other chat board on
the Internet to display your photos stored in the NJFishChat photo gallery.
Setting your signature- To do this just click on the
PROFILE link at the top of the message forums and type the text in the appropriate space
for your signature.
Avatar's- To
set your avatar just provide the URL link for the graphic you wish to
display within your profile. (Please no pornographic or sexually oriented content as
is covered within our membership policy)
Daylight Savings Time Adjustments-
To make this adjustment, log on and access your profile using the
link provided just to the right of our NFishChat.com logo.
Scroll down within your profile to the (Time Zone) section and
adjust your time zone accordingly for proper time display. This will
automatically adjust the times for you on all posts on the board.
Be sure to click the "Submit" button at the bottom of the screen
to save your changes.
Tool Buttons Used While Posting - You will notice
numerous boxes above where you place your text for your chat. Most of these boxes are self
explanatory if you just hold your mouse over the boxes it will describe each buttons
functions. If you have any questions in regards to these buttons PLEASE DO NOT HESITATE TO
ASK. That is why we are here to help you have the most pleasurable experience possible.

on the site, you can easily return to our home page by clicking on
the Home Page text link at the top of any page on the site.
